My Cousin's little girl Ruby has Cystic Fibrosis. She was born with a blocked bowel and needed immediate surgery. She has endured three life saving operations and has been in and out of hospital.
Cystic Fibrosis is the most common inherited, life threatening disease. It affects more than 7,500 people in the UK. Each week in the UK, five babies are born with the condition and three people die from it. The life expectancy is only 31 years.
There is no known cure for CF at present but doctors and scientists throughout the world are confident that a cure will be found and are working as quickly as they can. The faulty gene which causes CF has been identified and doctors and scientists have made great strides in learning how to replace the defective gene with a healthy one.
I will be running to secure vital funds for research into a cure. So Please dig deep.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
