Today an estimated 2 million women in Africa are suffering from obstetric fistula, caused by obstructed childbirth.

Freedom From Fistula is making efforts to give access to healthcare during pregnancy and childbirth for all women in Africa, and to help eradicate obstetric fistula.

I've chosen this charity as an obstetrician who was shocked by the scale of this problem when I worked in Tanzania.
