Story
Thank you very much for visiting my fundraising page.
As you probably know I’m running the Great North Run on September 20th 2009.
My grandfather died of bone cancer in 2006 and I’m raising money for St Benedict’s Hospice where he spent the final months of his life…the care was second to none but the hospice cannot survive without charity donations.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Benedict's Hospice, Sunderland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! I will be updating this page with my training progress and i have a 10km run in May to test my speed and judge how my training is going so keep a look out! 27th May - Update I ran 8 miles on 18th May....what a slog!!! I felt like i never wanted to run again after that!! However i had the BUPA 10000 to run on 25th May which was a great halfway mark tester...i completed the course from St James Park to the City and back to Buckingham Palace in 62 mins which i'm really pleased with. The winning lady did it in 32mins so i have a little way to go to catch her and Paula up!! lol
