My story

 

Hello and thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Vic & Chris got married on June 27th. We could hardly tie the knot properly without being involved with a fundraising event of some kind. So to mark our special occasion we're planning to run the British 10k hand in hand as Mr. & Mrs. Tarratt for the very first time. There is speak of exchanging wedding attire for the run, but this will depend on the success of Chris's diet; currently Vic's dress is a mere 7 sizes too small and bursting at the belly.

SpecialEffect is one of Vic's favourite causes and a charity Chris works with, which is currently making huge leaps forward in improving the lives of individuals with disabilities through cutting edge technology. As a young, lean charity, they benefit hugely from any fundraising support, so we are incredibly grateful for any donation you can make towards our WEDDING RUN APPEAL!

We are two amongst fourteen people running the British 10k 2009 for SpecialEffect and the money will go towards their Game for Helen project. This is very special computer games suite for the young people of Helen and Douglas House, an Oxford-based organisation who provide respite, emergency and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions.
