About my charity : ECHO at Guy's ECHO at Guy's
ECHO provides support and assistance to families of children who have been born with heart conditions who are treated at the Evelina Children's Hospital in London. We help make life more bearable for families whose lives have been devastated by their child's, often life-limiting, heart condition. We offer telephone support, free newsletters, regular social events, ward visits, pre-natal support, and provide small items of medical equipment as well as furniture and equipment for parents' use whilst staying with their child at the Evelina Hospital.

My personal message:

Hi, im Tylers mum , I  will be running the marathon to raise money for echo -evelina heart babys, babys that are born with congential heart defects .

some babys have a short life limiting defect and some can be operated on  to give the best quality of life can be . This charity means so much to me and my family  by you donating you can change the future  for these babys ,special heart equipment etc..

Here is  a breif story what happend to us, on the 3rd of october 2006 my beautiful baby boy was born. After two weeks of Tyler being born we was told the devastating news that our son's heart wasn't working  correctly ,Tyler was born with a congential heart defect called fallots , which means there were four defects in the heart  .The doctors told us that Tyler  would need to have open heart surgrey before he reaches one years old.

My world was just falling apart  ,the doctors said take Tyler home and enjoy him for the next six months, with out the support of echo i dont know how we would of coped  i cannot thank them enough, doctors and surgeons, also the out reach sisters and all those other familys that were going through other things similar or there child never had long to live.

Tyler had open heart surgery  at 7 months old and it was very successful ,he runs round  like a normal baby where as before he couldn't even crawl without getting breathless.
