I am delighted to tell you that I am running the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday, 25^th April 2010 to raise money for Emunah.

 

Emunah is one of Israel’s leading providers of family welfare services. Through its network of residential children's homes, therapy centres, day care and community centres Emunah cares for those children in Israel whose lives are in danger, and whom no one else wants. Emunah provides successful solutions to the ever changing needs of Israel’s most deprived and vulnerable children.

 
Emunah transform the lives of thousands of disadvantaged youngsters, many of whom arrive at Emunah centres emotionally disturbed, neglected and victims of abuse. They leave well-adjusted and equipped to lead normal lives as useful and successful members of society.  Learning through play is integral to the development of all children and particularly to the vulnerable and deprived children in Emunah’s care. This year’s Marathon fund-raising will be used to provide fun, healthy, indoor and outdoor activities and new learning opportunities for these children. 

 

Emunah relies entirely on donations to be able to help the children and each year needs to raise over £750,000 just to maintain the projects it supports.
