My story

Thanks for visiting the Village Vipers' fundraising page!

We're the Village Vipers - a local running club who train every Tuesday & Thursday from the Village Hotel in Cardiff.

This year, we're taking part in some of the UK's toughest events to raise money for the Kidney Wales Foundation to help raise vital, life-saving funds for hundreds of children & patients across Wales suffering from kidney disease and failure.

We'll be running all 26.2 miles of The Flora London Marathon on April 26, and zig-zagging across the country between Wales' most prestigious castles in the Welsh Castles Relay.

A few of us will be tackling the New York and Paris Marathon and all before putting ourselves to the test in the Half Ironman competition in September!!!

One particular individual..(Gareth) has decided to have a full body wax to hopefully raise even more money so please give generously and make the pain worth it!!!

Please sponsor us in memory of Garry Newbould

We're raising money in memory of someone very special -  Garry Newbould - a dedicated club member and lifelong friend who trained with us every week.

Sadly, Garry passed away in January. We're running on Garry's behalf to raise money for one of his favourite charities - Kidney Wales.

His daughter, Rachel, who is also a member of the Village Vipers, will be running the Paris half marathon on April 4, and his hoping to raise record-breaking funds for kidney patients in memory of her Dad.

Please support us by making a donation and giving in memory of Garry. Every penny will help to make a difference to the hundreds of children and patients across Wales who must spend hours each week on dialysis.

You can click the 'Sponsor Me Now' button below or contact Kidney Wales on 02920 343 940 to make a cash-in-hand donation.

Thank you for your generosity and please feel free to click on our website, www.villagevipers.co.uk  to catch up on our progress!!

Congratulations to you all.!!! Donation by Gareth Evans 15/06/09
