Welcome to our Cape Epic Vimba Justgiving Page!
As some of you might know the 4 of us (http://echeloncoaching.wordpress.com/) have decided to fulfill our dream and participate in the Cape Epic mountain bike race. (http://www.cape-epic.com). Its an 8 day race over 707km with 14550m of climbing in the South African heat! Its the Tour de France of mountain biking with massive press coverage and the worlds premier cyclists.........and us!
Its going to be tough on both the body and mind, but nowhere near as difficult as the challenges facing so many children in Zimbabwe & South Africa.
Vimba means HOPE and we are huge admirers of the work they are doing in Zimbabwe raising funds and awarenes. They support around 150 children with meals, education, clothing and child care.
We hope to be able to raise £1 for every kilometer that we ride, so the challenge has been set - for us to finish the race and raise £707!!
