My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page made in memory of my Dad, Vinodbhai Patel.

Vinodbhai Patel of Pij was born in India and lived there for 23 years where he graduated with a degree in Chemistry.

Thereafter he emigrated to Uganda, Africa.  During this period of his life he worked as a teacher and accountant before returning to India.  This is when he met and married his dear and beloved wife Geetaben.
In 1977 he and his wife emigrated to England where they initially settled in Wellingborough and had two joyful additions to their family; a loving daughter, Diksha and devoted son, Dhrupad.  They then moved to London where he successfully ran his own businesses for over 20 years before going into semi-retirement and started enjoying seeing the world.
He leaves behind many cherished loved ones who relied on his strong and caring nature, including his wife Geetaben, son Dhrupad, daughter Diksha and her spouse Dishang.  He also leaves behind his dearly beloved brothers Manibhai, Bhanubhai, Indubhai, and Kantibhai, and sisters Shantaben, Kapilaben, Laliben and Kailashben.

We wish to convey our sincere gratitude to all our relatives, friends and well-wishers for their support.  We are truly grateful for all the personal visits and telephone calls we have received from Dad’s nearest and dearest.  We pray that Bhagvan grants him everlasting peace.
For those who wish to give flowers in memory of Vinodbhai, we would humbly request you to donate this as a contribution towards Asha for education through this webpage.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to leave a donation in Dad's memory: Asha for Education gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
