Just a quick update on how I got on, and how much money has been raised. I finished in 3 hours 30 minutes and 20 seconds with which I am very pleased. Sub 3.30 would have been even better, but I can't complain. Here are my splits: 5 km 0:24:39. 10 km 0:49:38 . 15 km 1:14:41. 20 km 1:39:42 *Half 1:45:09 25 km 2:04:37. 30 km 2:29:47. 35 km 2:55:03. 40 km 3:20:06 *Finish 3:30:20 So job done very much as I'd planned; a nice even 8 minute mile pace.
For those of you interested, you can visit this address to see the results: and then there's a cute little gizmo that plots a graph of the pace at each split. Anyway....! We've crashed through my fundraising target (so thank you to all those who sponsored me) and I anticipate we'll get to over £4,000, so the good news is, when the Anthony Nolan Trust send me off to New York for the marathon there, I won't be coming after you for more money. But thank you all again so much for your generosity and support. Mark
