Tara McCausland, Siubhan Reid and Alison Cleland are doing this 5k run to raise money for LAM Action*

We're doing all our fundraising combined, via this site.

Tara was diagnosed with LAM in 2000 and lost her left kidney because of it in 2003.  She is one of the luckier women with this condition as she is still in good health.  For many others it progresses much faster, leaving them oxygen-dependent or requiring a lung transplant.

All money raised will go towards funding a trial of a drug called Doxycycline, which has shown some promising results so far: http://www.lamaction.org/doxycycline.htm

So, no pressure here   but if you sponsor us, you will help towards slowing or even stopping the progression of Tara's condition.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  Also, If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support!!

Tara, Siubhan and Alison xxx

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare lung disease that only occurs in women. It affects just over one woman in a million. We are a self-help group providing support for patients with LAM and raise money for vital research - it is often difficult to obtain money for research into a rare disease.
