The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) was founded in Geneva in 1997, to foster, on a global scale, deeper understanding of the values that unite us as a human community. Our aim is to promote an awareness of the importance of human values, encourage their development, and to initiate and support projects in the UK and throughout the world that meet the fundamental objectives of the IAHV organisation in Human Values (and which meet our criteria).

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the British 10k this July to help support the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). IAHV runs many programmes for personal and social development to encourage the practice of human values in everyday life. IAHV supports victims of trauma, natural disasters, rural development, prison rehabiliation amongst many more causes. Some of the current support projects IAHV are working on:

1. Youth Leadership Training Programme (5-H Programme: Health, Hygiene, Homes, Harmony in Diversity and Human Values), a programme which addresses the basic physical and social needs of the rural poor and disadvantaged.

2. Trauma Relief in Haiti - IAHV volunteers provide trauma relief programs and plans for long term rehabilitation.

3. Education - Started a few years ago, this programme aims to build schools and provide education for children in rural areas of India. IAHV currently supports 100 schools across the country.

I will be running for the Education fund where donations will be used in supporting and expanding the schools across India.

Your support is greatly appreciated.

Best Wishes,
Vishal
