Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

On the 19th May 2006 we will attempt one of the most challenging and rewarding charity events in the UK.

The 10th Wooden Spoon Ford Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge will conquer the longest lake, steepest pass and the highest mountian in the Lake District - the beautiful and somtimes forbidding mountianous region tucked in England's far north-western corner. Within 12 hours we will canoe Lake Windermere (10.5miles), cycle 26 miles over Wrynose & Hard Knott Passes - including 1200ft climbs and 1:3 gradients - and finally climb the mighty Scafell Pike (3208 ft.).

Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Each and every minute of every single day, Wooden Spoon projects make the lives of thousands of disadvantaged children better. Whatever the cause of their disadvantage - physical, mental or social - Spoon offers pratical and lasting solutions.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Wooden Spoon will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
