Story
The beautiful girl in the photograph is my 3 yr old granddaughter, Scarlett, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, a devastating killer disease with average life expectancy being around 31 years. Every week in the UK approximately 3 children lose their battle against CF.
My husband, Jimmy, is running in the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2009 to raise as much as possible for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The CFT are the only UK charity dedicated to funding research aimed at discovering that elusive cure that might save the lives of our precious Scarlett and other CF sufferers.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor Jimmy as the Cystic Fibrosis Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Please sponsor Jimmy as he needs all the help he can get having never attempted anything like this before. Sincere thanks to you all for your much valued support and to my fundraising work colleagues Moira Brooks and Teresa Meeking who have been a tremendous help.
Fondest regards
