A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SPONSORED ME. I HAVE NOW REACHED MY TARGET AND AM FUNDRAISING FOR MY NEXT CHALLENGE: CAMBODIA. PLEASE COULD YOU MAKE YOUR DONATION TO THAT CHALLENGE, EITHER ONLINE VIA JUSTGIVING WHEN THE PAGE IS SET UP, OR SEND ME A CHEQUE. DETAILS COMING SOON! (When I return from Inner Mongolia; too busy training ...) From June 22nd, I will now be trekking in Inner Mongolia - changed from Tibet due to political situation - to raise money for Farleigh Hospice in Chelmsford. The trek takes place in one of the remotest regions on earth - there's not even a guide book, it's too rough for the Rough Guide and too lonely for the Lonely Planet teams! Creature comforts will be non-existent, even by my standards. I will be: Walking 25km a day, for 5 consecutive days, including across a desert, hoping that Genghis Khan doesn't spot us and that Marco Polo has left a few sign posts along the way Sleeping under canvas in temperatures barely above freezing, one night in a multi-person gher (I think that's a skin tent) Eating all meals al fresco and drinking milk wine "Mod cons" will be a mere hole in the ground, if we're lucky The only running water will be when we trek by the Yellow River ... If this doesn't sound like your idea of a luxury holiday, it's not mine either! SO ...Please, dig deep and sponsor me online NOW. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Farleigh Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you so much for your support.
