UPDATE 4-9-11

I made it! In 61 minutes and 19 seconds but I made it! The fundraising will carry on for a couple of weeks so please feel free to help me reach 100%. Thanks for all the donations already, it makes a real difference for HTBD, a small London charity.

Hello Friends!

Last year I fundraised for the Miscarriage Association, a small charity from Leeds, so this year I'm doing my bit for a small charity in London, Helping The Burmese Delta.

The charity's overall objective is to help the people affected by Cyclone Nargis rebuild their lives. The Burmese are brave and resilient people, and will help themselves if we can only provide support, so please feel free to dig deep in your pockets this year.

The delta is a huge region and many agencies are working there to provide aid. Helping The Burmese Delta as a small charity has to be selective and its aim is to identify villages, districts and projects, which have received little or no help from other sources.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

We improve the lives of children in the Irrawaddy delta, one of the remotest and poorest parts of Burma. Our focus is on education and health - we have built 27 primary schools, plus a high school. We also train villagers to be Community Health Workers. We give these people a chance of a future!
