Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

What a team! All 10 of us (Richard Taylor, James Tottle, Nick Taylor, Lia Marshall, Steve Hutson, Mark Baines, Alan Roberts, David Swann, Sam Wizard and Danny Wizard) completed the challenge in under 23 hours!!

Everything worked very smoothly, no injuries, 'acceptable' weather, no vehicle breakdowns and everyone got on well.  Special thanks to the driver Tim Taylor and his mate Mike Parker.

It's definitely a walking challenge but being cooped up in a cramped minibus for 11 of the 23 hours also makes it a driving challenge! Also, trying to find our way up Scafell Pike at 3:30am in total darkness was interesting!

Thanks again to everyone who has donated to the British Heart Foundation. Once all the money is collected, I reckon we'll have exceeded our £3,000 target by at least 50%, which is fantastic.

*************************************************

Phil Tottle was an active member of the Vale of Aylesbury Athletics Club for many years until he suffered a massive heart attack during a race on Good Friday 2008 and tragically died.  He was 46 and it was a horrendous shock to his family, friends and fellow runners.

In Phil's memory, a team from VoAAC is aiming to raise £3,000 for the British Heart Foundation by completing the 3 Peaks Challenge within 24 hours on 9th/10th August.  The 3 Peaks are the highest in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon).

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us as the British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many thanks for your support.
