Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for all your past generosity in my fundraising activities.
Having missed out on the trek of a life time to the Avenue of volcano Cotopaxi in Ecuador in September 2013, due to eye surgery. I have now turned my focus on a new challenge.
In September 2015, I will be taking part in the Stok Kangri summit trek to help raise more vital funds for The Christie hospital. Stok Kangri is India’s highest trekable summit at (6,153m/20,182 feet). This is going to be a grueling trek at high altitude.
Cancer is an all too familiar disease today which affects almost all of us either directly or indirectly and together we can help make a difference. I have set myself a target of raising £5000 to help with research and more clinical trials to help fight this disease.I will be paying around £1,200 for this challenge from our own pocket as well as buying all the kit I will need.
As one of the many surviving patients I know at first hand the agonising effects this disease has on both patient and loved ones. Your support will help make a difference to cancer patients, both now and in the future.
