Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Voyager’s charity fundraising page.

On 24/25 April, two teams of intrepid Voyager staff members took part in the Mega Ridge Walk – a 52 mile, 24 hour challenge of body and mind. This fantastic endurance team event follows the oldest road in Britain – “The Ridgeway”, winding through Oxfordshire before crossing the border into Wiltshire. Every single team member gave their all, picking up gigantic blisters, strained tendons and even broken toes along the way. On the expert advice of St John's ambulance medics, several members were eventually forced to retire, but ultimately two walkers did successfully complete the course - one whole hour before the deadline!

Although the event is now over we would still love to hit our fund-raising target, so please continue to support our efforts if you can. The event was in aid of Sense, one of the nation’s leading charities. Sense give invaluable aid, advice and support to both children and adults who are deafblind.
