Waggon Three Peaks Challenge · 11 May 2009

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

The Waggon Challenge is inspired by the Parr family whose daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with an inconclusive form of Leukaemia in 2008.

At only 4 years old, she has already bravely undergone 6 rounds of intensive chemotherapy and a full bone marrow transplant. We hope that with her amazingly positive attitude, constant smile and the ongoing research she will win her fight against this cancer.

Starting on the 1st June 2010 we completed the UK’s most challenging trek. Our team succeeded in our attempt to complete the ascent & descent of the three highest peaks in England Scotland & Wales in less than 24 hours. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon ascend 3.4km (11,178 feet) vertically over a distance of 23 miles with a combined trek time of 14 hours.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor Team Waggon now and help us to exceed our target!
