Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Saturday 25th July, at Llanishen Leisure Centre in Cardiff, the Welsh Football Supporters Team played a charity game against the Tartan Army side representing Scotland Football Supporters in aid of Tenovus and in support of John Hartson who was diagonsed with cancer last week.

John played 51 times for Wales, scoring 14 goals and also enjoyed five years playing in Scotland for Celtic. We all wish him well on his road to recovery.

Wales lost 5-2 in a game of two halves, leading 1-0 at the interval, but never recovering from a second half goalkeeping error, a conceded penalty and a sending off for conceding the penalty.

Any Welsh or Scotland fan can still make a donation on this page which will go directly to Tenovus who help cancer research. You can also leave your message of support which will be forwarded to John.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Our thoughts are all with John and his family.
