Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
Well we did it, it took us 14.5 hours and we were all very tired by the end. I don't think that any of us imagined that it would be as difficult as it was. Thanks to all who sponsored us.
Many thanks
Seb and the team
15 hairy legged, soggy bottomed, muddy faced mountain bikers are taking to the roads to ride from the tip of Anglesey to Cardiff...........in a day. This will be no mean feat as we cycle 220 miles through Snowdonia national park and the Brecon Beacons. It is anticipated that the ride will take between 12 and 18 hours depending on conditions and other circumstances.
The reason we are doing this ride is that Jon, who will be riding with us, may not have survived had he not been rescued by helicopter after a particularly bad accident in the Welsh mountains. Along with other injuries he suffered a broken rib, pneumothorax, collapsed lung and severe concussion. Whilst he was being x-rayed the hospital staff found a fist sized tumour in the un-collapsed lung.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
