My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, last year we did a walk around London to help raise some money for Woking hospice. This was in aid of Dianne Manser and was around the date of Paul and Diannes wedding anniversary. It was a great sucess and we managed to raise nearly £700.00.

We have decided that due to the sucess of last year, this will become an annual event and our aim is to raise more money each year. This year, we will be doing the Shere Parish Millennium trail on Saturday 24th March. The walk is approxomately 15km, the route is a figure of 8 so you can do the full circuit or just half, whatever your ability!

For the evening, we'll be meeting in West Byfleet social club where they are having a comedy night. Entry will be £5.00 with £1.00 of this being donated to the hospice. We are also planning to do a few more things whilst there to raise more money so come along and have a laugh!

To download the route please go to http://www.shereparishcouncil.gov.uk/millennium_trail.php

We would advise you to wear walking boots (comfy trainers) as the terrain will vary and may be muddy in places. It may also be an idea to bring a few snacks and plenty to drink for the journey.
  • Meeting Point: - Peaslake Car Park (number 1 on the map)
  • Start Time: 10 am
  • Half way Point: number 29 on the map
  • Entry Fee: Minimum £5.00 per person

For those of you with small children or if you feel unable to take on this challenge, Come along to the social club or meet us at the finishing point where we will all be enjoying a well deserved beer and bite to eat.

We are passing this page onto everyone who is taking part in the walk and are urging everyone to spread the word and get sponsors/donations - This is a group page and for such a worthy charity so come on! spread the word!

This walk is not just for people who knew Dianne its for everybody, please forward this message onto anyone that you think may like to take on the challenge! You can also refer people to the woking hospice website where all the details will soon be available.

This is not a race, its just a way for us to get together and do one of the very things Dianne would have loved and to raise money for a good cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
