Story

Local GPs Samantha Potter, Helen Paige and Graham Paige are joining RBH consultants Adam Jones and Brendan Smith on an epic 100KM continuous (through the night) walk from London to Brighton on 12-13th May.

Sam (Adam's wife) says "It is a long time since Adam kept me up all night" but seriously this is all in aid of the Robbie the Robot appeal. Robbie allows the most complex keyhole operations to be performed with the very latest technology, resulting in less pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and a much faster return to normal life.

The Royal Berks was only the second district hospital in the country to acquire a robot in a really pioneering step. But such technology does not come cheap and at around £1.3 million this is beyond normal NHS budgets. So Robbie has to be paid for by fundraising. So far nearly £1 million has been raised - getting there but still a way to go. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
