Walk for Brake · 16 October 2010

Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

The Walk has been put forward until next year due to feeling we can raise more money by that time - so far we have not got half of what we had hoped for. Hopefully we will gain more support however by the start of next year.  :)

I am doing a walk for Brake - the road safety charity on the 16th of October 2010. Walking from Brechin to the Arbroath Abbey and back again.  Hope to raise as much money as I can as this charity helps people in so many ways.
This is also in the Memory of my Mum - Kathleen Boyle who was killed in a car crash on 27/02/2004 next to little denmark farm near colliston, Arbroath, which is the reason I have choosen to walk that road. A mum, a wife, an Aunte, a daughter, a sister, a friend to many, and a nurse. She was such a helpful person, and I hope the money I raise will be Helpful to Brake.
Brake helped me alot, their website on its own showed me I was not alone, the forgotten victims campaign gave me hope that some day the attitude towards road crash victims may change.
