Walking the Amazon · 18 April 2007

Rainforest Concern was established as a UK registered charity in 1993 to protect threatened natural habitats and the biodiversity they contain, together with the indigenous people who depend on them for survival. In 32 years we have helped to protect over 2.2 million hectares of threatened forests.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Rainforest Concern. This charity is at the centre of what Walking the Amazon is about - we all need to get a grip and stop rainforest depletion. It is the most important thing we can do right now. Donate.

Rainforests around the world are shrinking at the rate of four football pitches a minute. Helping to bring attention to the the destruction of these rainforests is Ed's primary motivation behind his expedition. Rainforest Concern is currently running projects in both Peru and Brazil and is a great example of an organisation that is doing everything it can to halt the devastation.

Thanks to Gill Brown, who´s barn dance raised the 488.03 pounds listed as raised off-line.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Rainforest Concern will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
