The Philippine Community Fund helps keep family units strong by rescuing children from their tortuous existence who live and work on the rubbish tips and squatter camps in the Philippines. It runs its own schools, feeding and health care programs and delivers innovative services to the highest standard by working with the community and the community leaders

Story

Hi! We're Dave & Cassie Salisbury, Richard Wallace, Cara & Emma Bromage, Abbie & Paul Brooks, Joff Avery and Luke & Jenny Wordley.

We did it! On 15th August, we walked across the whole of the Isle of Wight! Leaving Bembridge in the east at 7am, the ten of us covered almost 30 miles before reaching the Needles on the western tip completing the walk at 7.30pm. Along the way we picked up 12 bin liners of litter and 33 blisters! It was a very tough but fantastic day, blessed by good weather and an experience none of us will forget.

Thank you to all who sponsored us, to Ryde Baptist Church who hosted us for two nights and to Sue Avery and Maxine Everett who provided breakfast, lunch and pit stops along the way!

We are delighted that we have raised well over £1,000 already for the Philippines Community Fund, a charity working with deprived children living amongst rubbish dumps in Manila and would be delighted if visitors could sponsor us even more.

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. We really appreciate your support!
