Myself and the wife will inshalah be walking to Karbala to raise funds for The Zahra Trust water campaign.

We should not forget the 1 in 10 people around the world today that do not have access to safe clean drinking water. Your donations will go towards funding wells at a hawza in Afganistan, the funds will benefit up to 500 people who have no access to clean water.

Breakdown of costs for funding the wells: 

- £50 may help provide the pump for the water well

- £100 may help provide the foundation of the water well

- £1000 may help provide the bricks for the water well

- £1570 will build a complete shallow water well providing a short term solution to the water famine in a village

- £2200 will build a complete medium water well for a number of people

- £3130 will build a complete deep water well allowing pipes to be laid in order to provide running water in every house in a village.
