We are a mixed bunch of health professionals who are paying for our holiday to Nepal, walking from Lukla to Tengboche Monastery (the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region of northeast Nepal)...but raising funds for a wonderful charity called Odyssey. We chose this trek because it is absolutely in the spirit of the charity...testing our sense of adventure, challenge and curiosity whilst seeking personal growth for the future. We are trekking with a company www.theresponsibletravellers.com who offer a number of treks in the Himalaya and who are themselves linked to a charity www.chanceforchildren.com which works to educate impoverished children in Nepal...so many people gain from our trek.
