Story

Many thanks to all who supported us. The page remains open until the end of Decmber.

2nd July to 2nd August 2010

A sponsored Walk over Wales (WoW for short!). Over from North to South and over the main mountain peaks. 210 miles in distance and 35,000 feet of ascent. This walk is by people with McArdle Disease, to support people with McArdle Disease. It is a very rare muscle disorder which cause pain on exercise, can produce severe cramps with muscle breakdown and possible renal failure.

Please see the AGSD (UK) web site for full details of WoW and McArdle Disease. We want to raise awareness so that children are diagnosed early and given the right advice. And we want to produce a tutorial DVD to help them know how to look after themselves and avoid disability later in life.

From that website you can choose a walker to sponsor and link to their JustGiving page, or use this page to sponsor the event as a whole.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate. So please dig deep and donate now. All participants are paying their own way on the Walk, so every penny collected goes to AGSD-UK.

About the charity
