Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and a few fellow soldiers are doing a charity walk on the 26th May 2014, from Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire to Portsmouth. Here we will board a complimentary ferry, thanks to Brittany Ferries, to Normandy in France. We will be walking over 300 miles in the space of 10 days, a tough challenge, but for such a great cause!

Once we reach France, we will be moving on to our final destination, which is Crepon. It is here that we will carry out a memorial in memory all those that lost their lives on the 6th June 1944, the day of the D-Day Landings.

One man in particular, is WO2 Stanley Hollis VC, who put his own life in danger on that day, and for this reason we are raising money so that his family can finally finish his memorial.

Everyone has a family relative or friend, whether it be very distant, who was involved or part of such an iconic day in history. We hope that you can show your support to us along the way, and help us reach our target. Please share our story with all your friends and family.

Thank you...
