My story

Train one, save many

We have a boat at Walton on the Naze and my friend Jim and I are trying to raise money for our local life boat crew  who man the Walton and Frinton Lifeboat.

It costs £1000 to train a crew a member.  By helping us raise money you will be helping to support our brave crew members who were called out 32 times last year and have already been out 6 times this year.

Jim has flown round the world in his singled engined Mooney aircraft, you can read all about his trip by visiting http://www.jimsbigadventure.co.uk

On  Saturday 23rd August 2008 I joined forces with the local rowing club and we held a cake sale, rowing race and BBQ at North Sea Yachting - Titchmarsh Marina.

I would like to thank the following people for all their help and support:
Ian Parks - North sea Yachting - for lending us the barge for the event and providing all the tea and coffee.
Nick, Tig and Alex - TS Rebel - for kindly offering to provide the boat rides
Merilyn - for providing the RNLI shop
Sue - for working so hard and running the galley so well!
Life boat crew members,  Eric and Kevin - for joining in the fun and volunteering to dress as we raised the funds
Alan - for providing the photography
Marion and Kevin - For organising the rowing race and BBQ
All the people who kindly donated cakes and helped to make the day a success.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and help us help the RNLI espcially the Walton and Frinton Lifeboat.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
