The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the first national charity dedicated solely to overcoming pancreatic cancer through funding independent research and through lobbying existing research funders.

Dear Friends All,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  

On 18 – 20th April 2008 I DID attempt to walk as many miles out of the total of 87 as my creaky little legs would carry me and as you all have probably seen from my secretly gloating emails I managed 58 miles and I did wear the pink.... cap! The experience was everything I expected and more. Emotional, physically painful, happy and full of surprises. The reasons for doing the Walk remain the same.. 

   
1/ In tribute and love to my late husband Christopher who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer September 2007.                                                                                                                


2/ To give as much support as I can to friend and colleague Howard Kerr who has Pancreatic Cancer and is doing an amazing job of fighting it. It is his idea to do this fund raising walk along the ancient path over The Ridgeway. See link to his web site which has details of the walk and other information that you may interest you, including other planned events.  http://www.howardswaywalk.co.uk .Also for Eva Verdi-Cliffe a dear member of my extented family who was in the early stages of Pancreatic Cancer but sadly passed away 19th March 2008 due to complications from a stroke.   

3/ to raise more funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

PS. I know we look ridiculously young in the photo but it was Christopher’s most favourite of us. It was always a joke between us that he looked..well..as far as I’m concerned gorgeous and I looked as if I was wearing some form of oversized birth control on my head!
