So please sponsor me now - and thanks for your support!
Wandering Wilf x WILF'S RUNNING BLOG This is Wilf's third consecutive 10 mile wander round Portsmouth and informal training been underway since late August. Sun 9.Oct: RACE DAY - Perfect weather and a great atmosphere. I was in the first wave of 'orange' runners which included some serious competitors. Consequently this was the hardest Great South Run I've ever experienced. Very nearly stopped to walk and felt sick. As it turned out, I managed to knock 3 minutes off last year's time and ten minutes off my first ever run. No wonder it hurt. Sun 2.Oct: 10 mile dummy run completes in 1h:19m. All set! Sun 4.Sep: First five mile circuit was acheived round Hove Park in a promising 40 minutes. Considering no serious training has been done since pre-marathon days last March, this is quite a comforting start! We're half way there already..
