Yes it's true all three Wardies made it to the top of Toubkal on Monday 11 May with the support of our trusty guides Haj Maurice, Hussein and Brahim.
It was harder than we all thought it would be as some of us suffered with the altitude, gut rot and vertigo but we managed to encourage each other up to the very top! We were incredibly lucky with the weather and were treated to some amazing views.

Here are some brief details about EFAM:
Very few girls from the rural communities in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco get the opportunity to continue their education after primary school. The colleges are not accessible to them because either their parents cannot afford to pay for lodgings, they do not have the confidence in any of the facilities to trust their daughters to be away from their rural communities, and/or the colleges are inaccessible, far away from the rural villages. EfAM builds boarding houses near to colleges, enabling girls to stay nearby in a secure environment, looked after by a house mother. EFAM opened the first in April 2008, and each girl needs approximately £1000 each year for three years, to enable her to stay here and attend college.
