Warwick Thames Challenge · 24 June 2013

Zoë's Place provides 24-hour palliative, respite and end-of-life care to infants aged 0-5 years with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We provide short-term regular care with our dedicated nursing staff, in a home from home environment to give parents and carers a well deserved break.

Story

In February 2013, a group of girls from Warwick University will be swimming a total of 16km along the River Thames as part of the Warwick Swim The Thames Challenge.

As i'm sure you all realise, February is not the warmest month of the year, and we are expecting to be swimming in some very cold water!

We've chosen to raise money for a local charity called Zoe's Place Baby Hospice which is in the Midlands. Zoe's Place cares for babies who have life limiting or terminal illnesses. The charity itself receives very little government funding and so relies heavily on donations. We are aiming to raise £2000 altogether for this brilliant cause.

If you'd like more information about our chosen charity, take a look at their website: http://www.zoes-place.org.uk/index.html

We really appreciate any donations towards this excellent cause, so please dig deep and donate now!

Thank you.
