Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team are very often involved in assisting Three Peaks Challenge walkers who get into difficulty whilst attempting Scafell Pike, often in very poor conditions - and the team may get called out 3 or 4 times during a single night during busy summer periods.

Mountain Rescue Teams are all volunteers, and are not funded by the UK Government, but rely purely on donations.

Please consider giving just a small amount of the funds which you raise to Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team - to help them continue to keep you and others safe in the mountains.

We are trying to raise £1,000 over the next 18 months - it could cost much more than that just to rescue one injured walker or climber..!
