Story

Well, we did it!  Just proves that there is life left in this fat man!  Thanks to all who sponsored us - we raised £1011 (including £300 for a trial fying lesson that was auctioned at a Sandringham School auction of promises)

Ever seen a fat man up a mountain?  The Waterworth boys – Thomas and Harry are going to attempt to get their fat dad up 3 peaks over one weekend in June!  We will be taking the butler – Uncle Adrian (known as Uncle Buck!) with us to tend to our needs (and carry the food).  We are trying to climb the three highest mountains in Britain, in 3 days -   Ben Nevis , Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon .

This mad escapade will consist of:

o       14-16 hours of physical exercise

  o       3,000m of vertical climbing

o       Walking distance of nearly 24 miles

o       Approximately 83,000 calories burned – (or half a beer belly)

The money raised will be split between the world renowned Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital who will receive 20% of all donations and 'Friends of Sandringham School' (FOSS) which is the charity group that raises funds to benefit all students at Tom and Harry’s school.  Please dig deep and sponsor us.

If you want to check out the 'parent' web site for this event please visit http://www.justgiving.com/sandringham3peaks where you will be able to see just how much other money has been raised so far, for this event.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Friends of Sandringham School and GOSH will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support
