Story

12 months after completing a 24 hour radio marathon raising over £1000 for Compton Hospice, James Levett has decided to set himself an even bigger challenge this Easter Bank Holiday.

With almost 7 years radio experience under his belt, 21 year old Presenter and Club DJ James Levett is looking to raise the bar even higher this Easter when he plans to broadcast for 36 hours, Non-Stop, across the City of Wolverhampton on 101.8 WCR FM.

With residencies in venues across the West Midlands, James is no stranger to long days and late nights but he says attempting to top last years 24 hour hour broadcast is a must following the devastating news after thieves broke into six of Compton’s charity stores during the last 5 months around the city resulting in an estimated repair bill of around £5000, it is an opportunity to raise even more awareness for the charity and the amazing work they do following on from these terrible events. “I’m excited and incredibly nervous at the same time, but I can’t wait to give it my all and attempt to raise even more money for Compton hospice doing even crazier things!’’.

You can join James on-air from 9am on Easter Bank Holiday Monday (17th April 2017) on 101.8 WCR FM, you can also listen on line at www.wcrfm.com and follow the progress on our live studio camera’s as James is joined by special guests and fellow presenters to help him keep going through the full 36 hours of broadcasting. There will also be updates on WCR FM’s face book page and twitter feed (@1018wcrfm).
