Websy's 2012 Angel Dash

Websy's Angel Dash 2012 · 7 June 2012
Hi everybody, can I firstly THANK YOU all for your continued support with my challenge. Unfortunately I had to postpone it at the weekend for medical reasons and I am currently rescheduling it for a later date. I can now raise MORE MONEY and the profile of the Association further. All proceeds go straight to the Miscarriage Associations so please keep giving. Sorry, my own fault, life gets in the way sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xoxoxo
Miscarriage is, sadly, an all-too-common event - about one in every four pregnancies ends this way. About one in every one hundred women will suffer recurrent miscarriages; unfortunately I am one of those latter statistics. Eventually blessed with a son our heartache continues with more recurrent miscarriages as we try to expand our family. The support the Miscarriage Association and the Miscarriage Association NI gives is invaluable. Their services must continue and we need to talk more about miscarriage to support those it affects. I am undertaking this challenge as a way of giving something back and to help others in future.
On XXXXX I am motorcycling around Northern Ireland in a day, dressed as an angel and will perform a few challenges along the way. The total journey will be around 330miles and at each rest stop I need to buy a baby item and get my photograph taken with a family. This is all to help raise awareness of the charities. The challenge should take around 14 hours to complete (fingers crossed!).
I'll keep you all updated via Facebook so you can follow our progress throughout the day!
N.B. I am raising money for two charities - the Miscarriage Association and the Miscarriage Association NI. This JustGiving page is to donate to the Miscarriage Association, the UK body. Should you wish to donate to the Miscarriage Association NI please contact me, or make a cash donation when you see me or one of my helpers. We will also be accepting cash donations enroute on the challenge day ;-).
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Justgiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
