Story

The ride is over but the fundrasing continues for a few more days, please read the blog here and send us a few pounds.

Sheffield Wednesday Supporters' Society (Wednesdayite) are organising a Charity Bike Ride from Griffin Park, Brentford F.C. in London back to Bluebell Wood, Near Sheffield.

This will take place after the final match of the season at Brentford on April 28th and will conclude at Bluebell Wood on May 1st.  A total of around 185 miles.

The cyclists and back-up team previously did a Coast to Coast ride in 2009 for charity.

The aim of this challenge is to raise funds for Bluebell Wood.

"Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice supports and cares for local children with shortened life expectancy. It offers emergency, respite and end of life care for babies, children and young adults with very complex medical needs. Bluebell Wood is the only Children's hospice within South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and North West Lincolnshire. It costs over £3 million every year to provide this care and the hospice receives no statutory government funding."

Attached are some photos from the Coast to Coast challenge.

Please donate as generously as you can. It is much appreciated.

Thank you.

About the charity

At Bluebell Wood we provide care to children & young adults whose lives are sadly just too short; both in their own homes and our hospice in North Anston. We believe that every family deserves to make magical memories with their child, we need to raise £14,000 each day to keep our doors open.
