We support Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Children and Young People by giving seriously ill children and their families the extra support they need when facing a life-changing hospital visit. We speed up recovery, take away fear and provide reassurance, distraction and fun every step of the way.

Story

"Long ago, in a walled-off land far to the North.... A great king built a great kingdom. I believe they called it Drangleic..."

Cast your mind back through the mists of time, to long-distant 2013, and you'll find me taking part in Sick Kids Save Point for the second time. Sat cold and alone in my house, I struggled through Dark Souls, one of the hardest games of its generation, from start to finish: 27 hours of death and triumph.

There's only one way to follow that up. So from 12pm on Saturday 10th to 12pm on Sunday 13th October I'll be putting everything I've got into Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin on PS4. Starting from scratch, staying awake, and aiming to see the end before I finally crack and go hollow. It'll all be streamed live for your amusement, and if you're a fellow player you can even lay down your summon sign and offer a helping hand. I'm seriously going to need it.

This is the sixth year for Sick Kids Save Point, and through their efforts over that time they've raised a fairly eye-popping £72,000 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation. This year they're aiming to break the £100,000 barrier, and any support you can give is incredibly important. Any amount is appreciated.
