This is it! The big one!  We wanted to do something which would challenge us physically, be fun to do, and most importantly raise money for a great cause. Cancer affects millions of people worldwide and chances are you’ll have/had a friend or family member who has suffered from the disease. It’s our aim to raise £1000 for Cancer Research UK. This money will help to develop better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.

So how will we raise £1000? Simply! We’re going to walk the full length of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal path in Wales. In total it’s a distance of 125 miles (200k) and will take 6 full days to complete (http://www.visitanglesey.co.uk/anglesey_coastal_path-20.aspx) We will be camping over night at locations throughout Anglesey. On average we will need to walk 25 miles per day regardless of weather conditions. This is going to be a huge challenge, but if it means raising £1000 for such a worthy cause, then it’s well worth it.

All our progress will be broadcasted daily on 103.6 FM Tameside Radio and photos can be found at www.weekendwireless.co.uk and www.tamesideradio.com . You can also follow us on twitter @weekendwireless .Our live radio show is broadcasted every Sundays 5-7pm so please give us a listen. We really need your help to achieve our target, every penny helps so please give generously.

Update 22nd July 2010

What can we say ! The past few days have been completly random. We have been in all major papers, radio stations and news channels. Our total has gone through the roof and thats all thanks to you. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you so very much for your support, donations, and kind words. Cancer Research will ensure all your money is put to good use. Thank You again,
