About the charity : Emmaus Emmaus
Emmaus tackles the problems of homelessness through a network of self-supporting Communities, where people are offered a home, work and a sense of belonging. Emmaus residents (or "Companions" as they are known), each have a room of their own and work together, refurbishing and selling donated goods. Each Emmaus Community aims to become self-sufficient through raising income in this way. In an atmosphere of practical support, Companions have an opportunity to gain new skills and regain their self-respect while working to support other people in greater need. Emmaus UK is the national charity which supports existing Communities and assists the network of Groups which are working to develop new projects.

Hi there, and thank you for visiting our fundraising page.  Money donated here will go to the Emmaus trust, and we will balance that out with the Gatehouse through offline donations.  If you would prefer your money to go towards the Gatehouse, do get in touch with James or Chris!

If you didn't know already, James and Chris are spending a week living as if homeless on the streets of Oxford to raise awareness and money for homeless people in the city.  The dates are now confirmed as being the 15th to the 22nd of June.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Emmaus will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
