Story
Hello,
thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We will be attempting to climb, walk, run and crawl up every summit over 3000ft (914m) in Cymru within 24 hours. That’s 15 mountains, a distance of about 26 miles (42km) without counting the walks up to and down from the start and finish point, totalling about 11,500ft (3500m) of accent and decent.
We are planning on starting the stopwatch at the top of Foel Fras and finishing on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). We hope to complete the challenge at the end of July 2010 weather permitting.
All money raised will go to the Shooting Star Specialist Cancer Unit in Wrecsam Maelor Hospital in memory of our Uncle, Brian Catherall who recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. Also the Unit has treated and cared for other family and friends including Antony's dad Stuart. This is one way of saying thank you to the Shooting Star Unit and all its hardworking and dedicated staff.
We have set up this Just Giving sponsors page for anyone who would like to sponsor our attempt. Please feel free to make a donation and forward the sponsor page to other people as any and all donations will be greatly appreciated by the Shooting Star Unit in Wrecsam Maelor Hospital
This appeal comes under the NORTH EAST WALES NHS TRUST CHARITABLE FUND and all donations go to the Shooting Star Specialist Cancer Unit at Wrecsam Maelor Hospital (Registered Charity 1051063)
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
