Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Well I did it...
26.2 miles in 5 hours 19 minutes - I never thought I'd see the day :-)
The atmosphere on Sunday was truly amazing, unforgettable - on & off the course. I had a message on my back
saying that I was running in
memory of my lovely Mum & to inspire my Dad not to give up, &
so many runners gave me a pat on the shoulder (usually as they overtook
me!) & so many spectators shouted encouragement as I went by. Your
sponsorship did indeed mean everything to me in the lead up to the day
& while running the course, & I am so proud of the amount we
have raised together & of all the people it will help in the future.
My Dad wouldn't have been able to manage the trip to London that day,
but said he had never watched the TV so long & so hard! He said he
was very proud of me - as am I of myself & of all the people I know who have
supported me in this. A big & special thank you to my husband Dominic, who kept appearing all over London, & was there when I needed him most & to Christine, Jeff & Granny Dorothy for being there with hugs at the end when I was not at my huggably most pleasing I am sure!!! I cannot say it enough big thank yous to everyone for all the support xxx
