Dear family, friends and colleagues,

Thank you for visiting my fund raising page. As most of you are aware, I put myself through a personal challenge every other year to raise much needed funds for different charities, to help people less fortunate than us. I have ran the Great North Run, The London Marathon and have cycled from London to Paris and with your help have raised monies for the Lourdes Fund, Get Kids Going Charity, Action Medical Research and others.

This year I have chosen to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, the charity that makes a real difference to the lives of people with cancer and their families, every hour of every day. Marie Curie nurses enable patients to spend their final days at home, in the comfort of familiar surroundings with family and friends whilst their hospices provide specialist nursing and therapy care.

I will be trekking for 5 full days along the arduous paths of the Great Wall of China starting 6th September 2008, under very difficult conditions - no flushing toilets, no hot water, no running water or showers and I shall be spending the cold nights in sleeping bag under a tent! 

What on earth is she doing you may ask?!
