On 9th August I will be entering very unfamiliar territory (the River Thames) by competing in the London Sprint Triathlon (bear in mind that I'm not much of a 'sprinter'.)

Leukaemia Research is an excellent cause.

Last year I was lucky enough to work in an administrative role with Pharmaceutical Scientists. The grants provided by charities such as this are vital to their research and facilities. As a result of fundraising (not least by the likes of Gary Lineker and Ian Botham) survival rates are increasing at a phenomenal rate.

In the UK, blood cancers are the main cause of cancer death in the under 35s and Leukaemia is the most common form of cancer in children.

I can vouch first hand that all money donated will go to developing treatments and providing greater levels of research into a disease which affects thousands.
