Story

*** Don't forget to Gift Aid - It doesn't cost you anymore! ***

Hi There!

Welcome to my Just Giving page!

Basically, I just wanted to help out in my own little way, and so I am by spending 12 hours a day in a wheelchair for 7 days! (And for those of you that asked... YES, it was inspired by Glee!)

For those of you that don't know the Association of Wheelchair Children, their primary objective is to "enable independence by providing practical wheelchair skills training, assessment and support to young wheelchair-users and their families".

Simple as that really, I wanted to help out... and so I am! Lol!

I would really like to raise money for the charity, and that is why you lovely people are on my page (lol!), but to me it is also about understanding what it is like to be in a wheelchair. I
hope to learn something from the experience. I want to know what difficulties are faced by wheelchair users and I want to know whether being in a wheelchair means you get treated differently.

I also want to raise awareness which is why I will be keeping a daily diary to let you all know what I struggled with and how I am finding day to day life in a wheelchair.

Mike.

Ps. If you see me struggling round Guildford, make sure to give me a push! Lol!
