We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. By 2050, we believe everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Story

This October eight friends will embark on a sponsored cycle ride from Paul Smith's shop in Nottingham to Harvey Nichols in London.

We are all mothers from the Midlands (between us we have 20 children) and have been inspired to take on this challenge as three great friends and one of our mothers have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last three years. We are particularly moved by the strength and courage of our fellow rider, Bex Chatterton, as she continues to battle this wretched disease.

As most of us have not ridden any further than to the village shop during the last twenty years, we promise that we will earn every penny in sweat and tears and your donation will spur us on as we tackle yet another monstrous hill.

The three charities Bex has chosen are Macmillan Cancer Relief, The Lavender Trust and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

So many of us have been battered by this disease either personally or through family and friends but we are hoping that with your help we can better the odds for the future. Our heartfelt thanks to you should you feel able to help, and if your efforts are directed elsewhere, our gratitude for taking the time to read this.
